My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Lisa M Samra -  AT THIS LINK  -shared what Seth Small, a young field goal kicker for Texas A&M, did to calm his nerves when he had to kick a last second field goal to win (or lose) the game in front of over 100,000 fans.  Small reported after kicking the field goal to win the game that he simply recited Psalm 23:2 over and over … ”The Lord is my Shepherd.   I have all that I need.” 


Where do we get our strength in times of stress, trial, or trouble?  Personally, that’s shy you, my readers, find me here EVERY DAY, … seeking God’s comfort and direction thru His word.  When I’m confronted with trials or my weakness,  just like Seth Small, kicking that last second field goal, … I get my strength and direction from my Good Shepherd.  How about you?                       

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being there to show me YOUR way and giving me YOUR strength.

And the ODB author shared how she has had the opportunity to share her story and faith in God in a large New York multiracial church on Broadway in NYC, following thru with the Great Commission and the opportunity to share God’s grace in this free country.  And I’m stopping to pray here that all of us take every opportunity we are given to share the reality of God’s grace being available for anyone - and every one - who is willing to repent of their (our) sin and receive God’s saving grace (see photo).

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Xochitl Dixon -  AT THIS LINK  told of watching her 6-foot son hold his baby baby boy in one hand,(see photo) … his son trusting his dad to hold him securely.  It’s a good illustration how we must trust our Father God to hold us in His hand in this life.  


What do you, my fellow Christian readers, do to stand strong in this life by trusting that our God will ALWAYS be there to hold us up?   Personally, I rely on God’s word to guide me in this life;  because I know that I can always trust in God’s truth to guide and protect me.    What about you?

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Anne Cetas -  AT THIS LINK  wrote above a young Christian man, named Brad,  who moved to a new city and quickly found a church, telling the Pastor, after worshipping in this new church family for a few weeks, … that he wanted to serve in the church in any way necessary.   He began by setting up chairs for the worship service and cleaning rest-rooms.  Weeks later the Pastor found that Brad had teaching gifts; and so, Brad was asked to teach his fellow church members in service to God’s kingdom.  


And if my fellow Christian readers have taken in they linked song and meditated on the Scriptures shared above; I think we all get the point that since Jesus came to serve us all, we are called to serve our Lord and His kingdom in some way every day and for His glory.  Where will we be serving Him by serving others today?                         


My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling and using me, Lord, in ministry to help Christian men walk free from addiction to sexual sin.                

My Prayer Today:  Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... .Again, …  I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me use the gift(s) You, Lord, have given us to serve You and Your kingdom.         Amen
