Please take the time to take in this song with music and lyrics with Shereen King  singing … Your Purpose, Patience, Presence,  describing how we Christians should daily pray for God to give them (us) His way of dealing with our feelings, seeking for His purpose, patience and mostly the  presence of HIs grace in our hearts.

Reference Passage: … 1John 1:7-9 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK

God, thru John, shows born-again Christians that when we confess and repent of our sins, obeying Jesus, we can be (and will be) cleansed of our sin nature.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Katara Patton AT THIS LINK   … related a story of a friend who returned to church after several months due to the Covid quarantine and perceiving an old friend who seemed to ignore her.  She was hurt and offended; but later learned that the old friend’s mind was in a covid fog and needed help in interacting with others.  So, the offended sister reached out (see photo) and showed Christlike compassion, mercy, and patience to her old friend.

It’s all too easy to let our sin nature and impatience get in the way of Christlike mercy and compassion at times, isn’t it?  Well, I’m sure convicted by today’s ODB entry, the linked song, and God’s word shared above.  So, what might we do today if our sinful impatience and feelings rear their ugly heads?  I’m stopping here that we all pray, as the linked song call us, to seek and receive God’s purpose, patience, and presence and to cleans us from our confessed sin (1John 1:9) and show Christlike mercy and forgiveness in dealing with others.   Are you with me in this prayer?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for extending me with Your mercy and grace again today, Lord.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all reading here will join me, …  to reach out and seek Your merciful and forgiving mercy and grace today and tomorrow.   … Amen
