My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Lisa M Samra … AT THIS LINK - makes reference to a master work (i.e., painting) by Aaron Douglas, entitled (see photo of painting entitled - Let My People Go, depicting God appearing to Moses to declare that HE, The Lord, hears the cries of His enclaved people in Egypt. And here we are, … today, … on MLK day, in the USA, commemorating the powerful work of Martin Luther King and those who suffered - and even died - praying and demonstrating for freedom for the oppressed minorities in this country.
And in taking in the linked song and the Scriptures above, I, … for one, … am convicted to be more sensitive - and pray more - for those who are living for Christ but feel oppressed. Certainly, we can do more to pray for those who are truly being mistreated, …knowing that God hears our prayers for HIs mercy. Will you join me?!
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You , Lord, for hearing my prayers today for those who are truly and unjustly oppressed.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to pray and work for those You know, Lord, who are unjustly oppressed and need Your mercy. … Amen
