This ODB story, the highlight passage, and the Scriptures I was led to and shared above, all brought me to recognize that I should be living my life to show my love for my Lord (again see the photo).  And, once again, … that woman who washed Jesus’ feet with expensive perfume shows how we, who love Jesus, should live. So, today I’m going to be alert to do more to honor Jesus with some sacrificial act of Christlike service.  Are you with me?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for showing me how to honor Your.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for giving those of us who love You ways to honor Your love with ours.   … Amen

Feb 10 2026 … The Great Exchange …

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...       and PLEASE take the time to listen to music and lyrics from Justin Tweet singing The Great Exchange  … shows all that believe in Christ’s finished work on the cross have been give righteousness and freedom from sin.

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Jasmine Goh …  USE THIS LINK   … relates a story of a young man named, Elijah, ripping a ten-dollar bill accidentally while playing with friends and his dad offering to exchanged the torn bill with a new one.  Elijah asked why his dad would do that; and his father said that besides just doing it because Elijah was his son, the Dad said, “It’s also a reminder of what Jesus did for us. Because Jesus came and gave His life in exchange for ours, we can now live new lives.”

And that less, taught by the Dad in the ODB story is the lesson we learn from Jesus giving up His life on the cross so that those of us who believe in His finished work on the cross and are willing to surrender our lives to follow Him are the benefactors of eternal life and and a life where we become like Him as our Lord and Savior.   I’m in for that exchange (see photo).  How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for exchanging Your life for mine.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for dying on that cross so that we can live free from our sin and follow You … FOREVER.   … Amen

Feb 9 2026 … Haughty Or Humble? …

I think many of us have heard the old adage, “Pride goes before a fall;” haven’t we?  Well, if my readers have taken in the linked song and the Scriptures which my study today revealed, we see that this “old saying” comes right from God’s word, … teaching us to live humble lives and avoid the pride and arrogance which characterize much of the world.  Personally, I need to do much more to live humbly in service of our Lord.   How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for calling ME to live like You, … always humbly serving others.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, showing us how to live humbly, like You, in serving others ALWAYS.   … Amen

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...       and PLEASE take the time to listen to music and lyrics from Corey Asbury singing Reckless Love … showing how God shows up - thru those who love Him - to help those who need His reckless love.

Love shows up to help ...

========================

(see photo) And so, the worker asked the woman why she was crying, to which the woman replied, “I’m not crying because I lost everything.  I’m crying because love just showed up.”

The ODB story is a good illustration of God’s love showing up - thru the help of those who love Jesus - when help is needed.   I think it is; and I hope that my fellow Christian readers, with me here today, see the call on our hearts to be God’s love … showing up to help if the need is there for us to be there with God’s love.   So, if we see the need today, I’m praying we become God’s love to reach out, … like the song linked above calls us, …  and help someone who needs God’s love.   Are you with me?

My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for calling ME to become Your love by helping someone today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, giving us the opportunity to be Your love by helping others.    … Amen
