My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Patricia Raygon … USE THIS LINK … tells about an older man who heard the old fable of a boy seeing a butterfly struggling to free itself from its cocoon (see photo) and the boy cutting the butterfly out to free it from the cocoon. But the boy sees the butterfly fall to the ground and die, teaching the boy that the butterfly needed the struggle in the cocoon to become strong enough to fly. And we all need to learn that lesson about gaining strength in life from the struggles we encounter.
And if my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures shared above, I think we all would agree that God allows - and gives - the struggles and trials we face in life to let us grow strong, … like the butterfly, … to be able to deal with the struggles we face in life. Our struggles are what give us the strength to fly free in life. And I for one, have learned to deal with struggles to grow in strength. How about you?
