Highlight Passage [Context] – NKJV: Psalms 33: 6-19 [NKJV] … Go to this link
=============

Reference Passage #1: Matthew 6: 33 [NKJV] …
33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness …

Reference Passage #2: Luke 9: 23 [NKJV] …
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Reference Passage #3: Galatians 2: 20 [NKJV] …
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. …

My Journal for Today: In Rev. Rick Warren’s immensely popular book, The Purpose Driven Life the first sentence reads, ”It’s not about you,” referring to the reality that life is all about Christ and following Him (see Matt. 6: 33 and Luke 9: 23) should be the focus of our life.

And in today’s highlight passage (from Psalm 33) a psalmist expresses a truth which allows us to cast our anchor of faith into the Rock, Who is our Lord. When all is confusing and falling and swirling about in our life, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And in Him our flesh can be crucified, hence the attached photo depicting Christ at the cross being the center of our being (see Galatians 2: 20); and He calls us to deny our very human selves to follow Him (again see Matt. 6: 33 and Luke 9: 23).

So, who will be the center of our personal universe today? Will it be our self or the Savior?

My Prayer for Today … Lord, be my Center! … Amen
