My Devotional JournalToday’s  Our Daily Bread Author , Karen Huang  AT THIS LINK , related a time when the author’s mother and her niece we suffering from a skin condition which required medications which we not available at any local pharmacy.  So, the author, trusting in God’s healing power, prayed and ultimately the skin conditions abated in both her mother and niece.

I’m convicted by this ODB entry today; because recently I’ve ben suffering from severe coughing, diagnosed by a local physician as “walking pneumonia;” and I confess that I’ve been trying to rely on the symptomatic healing power of worldly medications and really ignoring trusting in God’s promises and His healing power.  So, I’m duly charged by today’s quiet time and thru prayer to trust in God’s healing power and His promises.

How about you?  Is there something you need to bring to the Lord today, trusting in His promises and His power to lift you up?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being there for me in my times of trial.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, …to merely trust in You, Lord, and to obey Your promises today  and tomorrow.… Amen

And as God declares, thru Job and the other Scriptures above, whispering of His glorious and omnipotent power thru the creation we see around us every day.  The question is do we see and do we hear God’s whisper of His glory as we look around us to behold His glory in what He has created.  So, look around with me here today and see His glory; … listen and hear of His power, available to us who faithfully follow the Lord and His truth, declared thru His word.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author , Monica La Rose  AT THIS LINK  ,,, shares the words of Catherine of Sienna in the 14th century, who wrote, “A thorn has entered your foot—that is why you weep at times at night….  There are some in this world who can pull it out. And if my readers, who really search to have and share God’s love in this ever darkening world, have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures above, I’m sure you are as convicted as am I, realizing that we can do so much more to develop and share the love and compassion of Christ with others today … and even more tomorrow.
