Reference Passage #1 - 1st Corinthians, Chapter 13 [NKJV] … USE THIS LINK
… God’s teaching, through Paul, on the essence of His love … and the charge for ours for one another.

Reference Passage #2 - 1st Corinthians 13: 13 [NKJV] …
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
… Love will remain forever … in heaven, faith and hope are no longer needed.

My Journal for Today:  Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Cindy Hess Kasper, taught a truth we only learn and live as we grow in our love and relationship with our Lord; … that His LOVE is our Lord’s preeminent promise and purpose for His children. Hence, it is the subject of Collin Raye’s song, linked above, as well as the photo image attached.

Many of you may know the final verse of the so-called “Love Chapter” (see the link to 1st Corinthians, Chapter 13 above). It alludes to three great qualities we desire as Christians … faith, hope, and love; but, in verse 13 above, it clearly states that the greatest of these is LOVE, which, of course, was the subject matter of Paul’s teaching in that chapter of his epistle.

So, why is LOVE predominant when considering faith, hope, and love? Well, it’s clearly because when any Christian gets to heaven, faith and hope will not be needed; and only LOVE will remain … and it will remain in a consummated and completed relationship with God.

So, may we all, who claim to love our Lord, show our love for our Lord today. How we do that is our challenge; … but that we do it, is our charge [see the highlight passage from 1st John 4 linked above)!

My Prayer Today:  Oh, … Help me love You today Lord at least an inkling of how much Your love me. … Amen
