My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author -  John Blase … AT THIS LINK  - …relates an old folk tale about a woman carrying two jars of water back to her home from the well, one a new jar and one older jar with cracks in it.  And when the woman arrived home, the new jar was full and the old jar was almost empty, leaking all the way home.  But the woman realized that the older jar had been watering the flowers, which produced beautiful flowers along the path home.  

If my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures shared above, as I have this morning, I think we must ask ourselves, … as we have aged, … are we producing fruitful lives as God has called us to do?  Personally,  I pray … that in my many years in this life, … I am becoming like that broken jar in the ODB story; … how about you?  

 

My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You , Lord, for giving me Your enabling grace to be fruitful in my life.  

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to seek to become fruitful as God’s word calls us to be, for Your  glory, Lord.   …  Amen
