My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Karen Pimpo …  USE THIS LINK       related a true story about the life of Jim Braddock during the depression, who was an older - somewhat over-the-hill - boxer who went thru punishing trials in the ring to ultimately become heavyweight champion, … all done to put food on the table for his family.   It reminded the ODB author of today’s entry of how God has promised his chosen and faithful people to protect them (us) in the battles and trials of life. 

And if my readers have taken in the ODB entry for today, the linked song, and meditated on the Scriptures above, reflecting on God’s promises to be with His own in the battles of life, I’m praying that you feel as warmly protected by God’s grace right now as I do.
