My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Brent Hackett … USE THIS LINK who wrote of how, in ancient Greece, actors wore masks to take on various roles with the same actor; or changing masks to take on different emotions. And the ODB author made the point that we humans often take on various “masks” to have ourselves seen as different that we really are. However, as Christians, the Scriptures above, and most certainly the linked song, call on us to live as Christ would have us live … as Christ would live thru us.
I really find myself convicted by the linked song and reshaped in the reality of living to BE more like Christ; and I’m uplifted by the truth that one day, on my last day, I will become just like my Savior. Doesn’t that lift you up and challenge us to take off our masks and live to be more like Jesus today than yesterday and even more Him tomorrow?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, again today I say thank You for making me over into Your image.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for helping us to become more like You. … Amen
