My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Bill Crowder  -  AT THIS LINK  relates a story about a Christian friend named, George, who was working on a project rebuilding his home in the hot Carolina summer sun, when a neighbor came into the yard clamoring and complaining about the project.  And at the end of the neighbor’s rant, George simply said, “You’ve had a really hard day, haven’t you?”    And the neighbors angry attitude  was tempered immediately by George’s Christlike attitude, causing the neighbor to apologize to George for how the had spoken.

And the situation in the ODB story illustrates how we, as Christians, are called to live our lives, modeling our behavior after that of our Lord, Jesus, Whom as we remember (see John 13 even washed the feet of His Disciples to show them (and us) how to relate and be like Him in dealing with others in our lives.  But are we?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …showing me in the linked song and the Scriptures above that I need to be more like You, Lord, in the way I deal with others.

My Prayer Today:  Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me to seek to be more like You, Lord, and less like our selves.   … Amen
