My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread devotional entry, authored by Dave Branon, took his readers back [that’s me!] to the account and journal of the life of Job, who was called out by God to give witness, in faith, to God’s glory; and even after Satan was allowed to buffet Job’s life with horrible troubles, Job seemed to retain his faith (see Job 1 20-22 linked above). But then as Job’s time of trial and his privation elapsed and Job’s worldly friends interceded, Job’s faith wavered a bit. But then God (see Job, Chapters 38-41) came to call His man, Job, back to faith; and as God does for all mankind, the Lord used images from His creation to bring Job back to closeness with his Lord.

Mankind really has no excuse to claim “there is no God,” as Brian Doerksen sings in the linked song above; because, as is stated by the Apostle Paul in Romans 1: 18-21 God’s very creation is displayed to declare the glory of God. And those of us who know Christ as our Savior and Lord, must declare that He is the creator; and He is the one Who is completing us into His own image (see Phil. 1: 6).

So, today, as any read here, I hope I sense an “Amen” or a “Hallelujah” to the truth of seeing God in His creation and reveling in our faith in the Lord of the universe.

My Prayer for Today … Lord, You are the Lord God and the Creator of my world … and it is You, … and only You, … Whom I worship. Amen
