… God’s promise, thru revelation to John, that God will ultimately ultimately give all who shed tears His eternal joy in heaven.
My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Winn Collier … AT THIS LINK … tells of a friend who was grieving his father being at death’s door and requesting that the ODB author send him a video message which might give comfort to his dying dad. And the author complied and learned that the message gave the father great joy and comfort just before he passed away to be with Jesus forever.
And that was the message from Jesus, Himself, to his followers in what we now call “The Beattitudes,” … where our Lord promises to provide His ultimate joy an comfort - i.e., His comfort - to those who shed faithful tears in times of trial (see Matthew 5:4).
Perhaps some of of my readers are facing a time of trial or trouble, causing us to grieve or shed tears at this time. If so, we need to take in the linked song and the Scriptures above which show that our God is ALWAYS there to share our anguish and provide us with His strength and comfort to those of us who trust in His promises.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your comfort in my times of anguish.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to praise You, Lord, for ALWAYS being there to lift ua up in our times of trial and tears. Amen
