… Again, Paul repetitively teaches that salvation is is a gift from God, not anything we can do to earn it.
My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Karen Pimpo … AT THIS LINK … tells of being surprised by a gift from a friend, who was trying to help the ODB author be relieved from work stresses, .feeling undeserved in perceiving that her friend was under more stress that she was.
Could there be any more undeserved gift, to relieve the stress of our sin nature, than our Lord dying on a cross (see photo), to give any of us salvation. It is the most undeserved, but gracious, offering; and it’s available to any of us who are willing to receive it by our belief in Christ’s finished work on the cross.
