My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks … AT THIS LINK …  makes reference to the first photo of a human, taken in 1838, by one Louis Daguerre, depicting a man stopping quietly to get a shoe shine on a busy street in Paris (see photo). 

And the ODB author felt this classic photo illustrated our need as Christians to stop and rest in our lives, trusting God, as the Scriptures and the linked song above tell us, … to trust and rest in the reality that God is alway there to handle our cares and woes in life and to give us His peace.  

How many of us need to stop and rest in God’s love and grace … to help us deal with the anxieties of life?  I’m one; … how about you?                                              

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being  there to be my refuge.     .
