Highlight Passage: 2nd Kings 19: 14-19 :[NIV] … 14 Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord.15 And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord: "Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.16 Give ear, Lord, and hear; open your eyes, Lord, and see; listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to ridicule the living God.
17 It is true, Lord, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste these nations and their lands.18 They have thrown their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods but only wood and stone, fashioned by human hands.19 Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God."
31 [Isaiah, prophesying] … For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.
"The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”

My Journal for Today: Okay, Bible history again (and again and again) has a lesson for us today. What is it that is said? “Those who’re unwilling to look at history and doomed to repeat their failures in the future.” … Well, something like that!
And our Bible history tells us, through men (i.e., leaders) like Hezekiah (and so many others) that when things look grim (yes, as they do now in our world), we need to go to God in prayer, repent of our sinful ways, and humbly wait on God for His deliverance. And God has promised, as we read in today’s highlight history lesson and these Psalms of deliverance, that the remnant of the faithful and chosen believers will be saved.
But we’ve got to be willing to pray, pray, pray, … just as did Hezekiah when all seemed lost. It isn’t rocket science, my friends; … it’s faith! It’s faith in God’s promises and a clear understand of His word which will lead us to our knees, as did Hezekiah, … to pray for us to repent and come back to God; because He has promised to deliver us.
When will we, dear ones? … Will we, my beloved??
My Prayer Today: … I am here praying for our deliverance, my LORD; but I know that it will only happen when we humbly pray and wait on You. Amen
