… Oh how we need to share more of this love (AGAPE) with the world. My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Jennifer Schuldt, told a story of a young man’s extravagant proposal to his girl friend on Valentine’s Day. The ODB author wrote: [The young man’s] expression of love toward his fiancée may seem a bit over-the-top, but God’s expression of love for us is nothing short of extravagant! “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him” (1 John 4:9).
And really on this special day, celebrating love, all we really need to do is take enough time to use the link above to hear Jackie DeShannon singing a popular love song from the 1960s; … from back in my college days when violent protesting was going on concerning the Viet Nam war. And Bert Bacharach’s song, declares what is desperately needed NOW in these turbulent times … the need for us all to recognize God’s love extends - thru us - to any and all who will receive that love - offered by His blood on the cross.
So after you take in the song; and meditate on the truth about God’s love from His word, let’s ask ourselves what we can do today to show His love to someone who needs it?
