Reference Passage : … Psalm 95:2-3 [NLT] …

… How can we not just give thanks for Whom He is?!

Reference Passage : … John 15:14-15 [NLT] …
14 You are My friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
… Jesus is my FRIEND!!
My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Xochitl Dixon, relates a personal story about someone who became a beloved friend because of how she daringly served the author. The ODB author writes … When I served as my mom’s live-in caregiver at a cancer center, I got to know Lori, another caregiver who lived down the hallway from us with her husband, Frank. I would chat, laugh, vent, cry, and pray with Lori in the shared living areas. We enjoyed supporting each other as we cared for our loved ones.
One day, I missed the free shuttle that took residents to buy groceries. Lori offered to drive me to the store later that evening. With grateful tears, I accepted her offer. “Thanks for being you,” I said. I truly appreciated her for who she was as a person, not just for what she did for me as a friend.
I pray that all reading here have someone, like a “Lori” in your life who is a real friend, … someone that would do anything they could to be there for you in times of trial.
Well, as Christians, … i.e., true disciples of Christ, … we have such a friend, don’t we? Yes, and as Matt Maher sings, our Friend is Jesus; and as the Psalmists sing in Psalms 95 and 100 above, we should be showing our thanks to our Friend, Jesus, by, as He commanded (see John 14 and 15 passages above), being obedient to His word … today and all days.

My THANKFULNESS: … Oh Abba Father, … thank You, Lord, … for becoming and being my Friend … FOREVER!
=============
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here reach out to be a friend to others as You, Jesus, are our Friend today and all days. … Amen
