My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Elisa Morgan  -  AT THIS LINK  -  relates a story about a shy and timid friend, Dave, who gave the wedding couple a personally carve wall hanging that ended up being on the wall of the wedding couple for over 45 years, showing God’s love in such a special way.   .    

The ODB story was to illustrate how many times God’s special gifts or miracles come in small packages or ways in our lives.  And prayerfully all who read with me here can see the God’s greatest miracle came to us in the little baby shown in the photo.  And that small miracle gift to mankind has certainly reshaped my life.   How about Yours?

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Arthur Jackson  -  AT THIS LINK  -   writes about why it’s so important to protect the health of our hearts which beat over 100,000 daily to pump the blood needed for us to live healthy lives.  And the ODB author poses the question as to what we are doing to protect our hearts from living unhealthy lives.    

And that’s what Steve Green sings about in the linked song and what God’s word teaches in the Scriptures provided above.   So, as you, my readers today, take in God’s wisdom, I’m challenged to do all I can to protect the health of my heart and to walk down God’s healthy path to life eternal.   How about you?

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Amy Boucher Pie  -  AT THIS LINK  -  told of an incident involving some British friends who ignored the warnings of stormy weather on a day they went out boating on the English Channel and foolishly got in trouble and were forced to call for help from the RNLI  (the Royal National Lifeboat Institution) who responded to the call for help and sent a rescue boat out to save the friends caught in the storm.  

The incident, and all the Scriptures shared above, illustrate how it is God’s mission  to rescue all of us who flounder in the deadly storms of our sin nature; …  and then calling us to reach out and save others with our testimony.  Have any/all of you been saved by God’s grace, as I have?  Well, if so, I pray we all have become witnesses to show others of God’s rescue mission to save those caught in the storms of our sinfulness.

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Winn Collier  -  AT THIS LINK  -   illustrates careless and reckless living by showing a driver ignoring the warnings to avoid driving in the road to Lindisfarne when the tide is up and the road becomes flooded.  And too often  … (as in the attached photo)  …  foolish drivers get covered over with the sea waters as they foolishly ignore warnings of the tide waters of the ocean which rapidly cover the road to what is known as the “Holy Island.”

And when we, as Christians proceed ahead in life, ignoring the warnings of God’s Spirit, which are often given to us in God’s word, we can - and WILL - get caught up in our foolishness and selfish ways of life, when wisely following God’s ways - thru His word - is the wise way to go.  Personally, … I choose to seek out and follow God’s way by using God’s perfect “GPS” in His word.  How about you?

My Devotional Journal: Today’s  Our Daily Bread  Author, Patricia Raybon -  AT THIS LINK  -  told of her mom, who had a close and loving friendship with their next-door neighbor, Mrs Sanchez; … and they had this fun friendship where each of them competed each Monday morning to see who could have their weekly laundry hung out to dry first.  Their competition was a sign of their love as true friends.  

And that’s the kind of friendship Jesus showed for any/all who believed in Him and followed His friendship all the way to glory … TOGETHER as friends.  The question is … do we know Jesus as our “BFF?”  And I’m praying that all who read with me here can - with confidence - know that to be truth for their (our) lives. Jesus is my “BFF”  … how about you?
