My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Dave Brannon -  AT THIS LINK  -shows that most people, when asked about the 100 meter dash, think of Usain Bolt, the current world record holder at 9.58 seconds.  However. today’s ODB author reports another 100 meter record holder, Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins, who set her own world record, finishing the 100 meter dash in a little over 60 seconds, … well over Bolt’s world record; … but doing it at age 105 (see photo).   Truly a remarkable achievement, … wouldn’t you agree?    

And Julia Hawkins, running at such a remarkable age, illustrates what God’s word (see Scriptures above) calls us “Christians” to do; and that is to live lives worthy of our calling as “Christians.”  But … are we?     

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for providing me with Your strength, Lord, to live my life worthy of Your calling.             

My Prayer Today:  Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me to choose to live our lives, … even today, … in ways that are worthy of Your calling, Lord Jesus.     … Amen
