The stone was rolled away .. HE IS RISEN!!

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Patricia Raybon …  USE THIS LINK        … related a personal story of a friend, Loretta, who received a utility bill for $100, which was larger than usual for that month.   Not knowing how she was going to pay the bill, she told her son that “The Lord will provide.”  That very day Loretta received word from her brother to look in the mail for something from him.  And when Loretta opened the mail, there was a check for exactly $100 from her brother.  

This incident reminded the ODB author of today’s entry of the three women in the Gospel accounts (cited above) who went to the tomb wondering whom they would get to roll away the stone for them to bring spices into Jesus’ tomb.  But from those accounts we know that Jesus’ body was gone,  He was risen!!! 

What stone have we experienced being rolled away to reveal the power of Christ’s resurrection in our lives?  I sure have seen that power on display as I share the love and grace of Christ in my life with others!   How about you?  

My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for revealing Your resurrection power in my life everyday.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for rolling the stones away in our lives to show Your resurrection power.     … Amen
