My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Cindy Hess Kasper …  USE THIS LINK   writes of how the ODB author, as a child, would occasionally wake up in the stillness of the night and see his mother, with her Bible on her lap, quietly studying or praying with all the noise of the world gone for that moment of peace and worship.

Seeking quiet and and stillness, in this noisy world of chaos, can be a real challenge these days, can’t it? That’s why I’ve developed a discipline of getting up early and spending some quiet moments in prayer and with God’s word,  … writing out, as I am right here, my daily thoughts.   How do you find the time each day, in a place of stillness and quiet, to be with God?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You … for leading me into the stillness each morning to spend peaceful time with You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for aways being there each day when we come into your place of peace and rest.   …  Amen
