And I am lifted up today, knowing that I have been invited to sit at God’s eternal table because I believe in what He, my Heavenly King, did for me in becoming my Messiah and inviting me to sit with Him at His banquet in heaven.   But to be sure, …when I take in the linked song and God’s word shared above, … I will respond to His invite because  I know and love Him as my King Jesus.   How about you?  Will you be responding to Jesus’ invite to sit with Him at His banquet table?

Personally, my needs and growth in Christlikeness is being met by Church.   But if it weren’t, like Rachel in the ODB story, I would search until my spiritual growth was being shared by my brothers and sisters in Christ.   Are you with me on this?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You … for leading me to a fellowship of Christians who truly meet my Spiritual needs.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for providing Your Church to help Your chosen ones to grow in Christlikeness.  … Amen

The question for me today was whether I am doing what it takes to fight for my faith by helping others contend for theirs in this world which will do all it can to tear away our commitment to Christ.  But like Jude and the Apostle Paul, all of us Christians need to do ALL WE CAN to hold onto our faith and help others contend for our collective faith in Christ, Who did HIs all dying for us.  I, for one, am doing all I can to fight for my faith today.   How about you?

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for going the final mile to save us from ourselves; and showing us what we must do to fight for You with our faith,    … Amen

And the ODB author’s story in today’s entry reminded her of the story in God’s word of how The Lord opened the eyes of the Prophet Balaam (see the highlight passage), who couldn’t see that his donkey was doing all he could to allow Balaam to see God’s intended protection.  And so, my prayer today is that I will be able to see God’s ways more clearly and to follow His desires more closely.   Are you with me?
