My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Jennifer Schuldt, uses a simple, graphic word picture to illustrate what we’ve been given as Christians. She wrote: One day I received a bouquet of pink tulips. Their heads bobbed on thick stems as I settled them into a vase, which I placed at the center of our kitchen table. The next day, I noticed that the flowers were facing a different direction. The blossoms that once faced upward were now leaning to the side, opening and reaching toward sunlight that streamed in through a nearby window. … [And] In one sense, we all were made to be like those flowers. God has called us to turn to the light of His love.
All of us once walked in the darkness of our own sin; and now, being born again in Christ, like the tulips in the attached photo, we soak in the Light from the Son (of God). And we are being made over by His light, and by His Spirit, into His image.
And all I can say this morning in the realization of this truth … is … Hallelujah.
And perhaps once you take in today’s song link and the highlighted Scriptures, you’ll join me in resounding praise to the One who brought us out of our own darkness into His Light of truth.
My Prayer Today: Heavenly Father, … Oh, Lord, yes, … HALLELUJAH!!! … Amen
