My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Karen Huang  AT THIS LINK      wrote of being concerned about a health condition for her niece and being in disagreement with her sister about the treatment plan; … but deferring to her sister’s position, trusting that she would know better of her niece’s medical and health history.  And as it turned out, she was right to trust her sister’s knowledge and judgement.

And the ODB author likened that personal situation to trusting that God ALWAYS knows best what we need and trusting in His ways is ALWAYS the best option when we have concerns or fears about our lives.  And if my readers have taken in the linked song and the Scriptures above, I’m praying that we’re all doing our best to pray for and to follow God’s ways when we are challenged to find the right way in life. That’s what I’m trying to do by following God’s word as my “GPS.”  How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for showing me THE way - i.e., YOUR WAY - Lord through Your word.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again today, Lord. … guiding us to find Your way, Lord, by leading us with Your word.     … Amen

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Lisa M Samra  AT THIS LINK        Related how the area where the ODB author lived was blacked out with a power outage after a massive ice storm; and how the city looked for help from visiting area linemen who came with  their trucks to help restore the power to the area.  And a church even donated their large parking area to provide the trucks to have a command center from which to work.

And that story of God providing restored power reminded the ODB author of how many authors in God’s word (see Scriptures above), including Jesus Himself, show how we Christians are provided with God’s enabling grace and power to be His witnesses here on earth. Personally, that’s my calling; … how about you?

May 28 2025 … No Turning Back …

May 28 2025 … No Turning Back

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to hear music and lyrics with Brandon Heath singing… No Turning Back,  as ALL Christians are called to GO FORTH and share the Good News of Christ with the world.

Highlight Passage: …  2Timothy 1:8  … [NLT] …

So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for Him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News..

Paul calls for Timothy (and all Christians) to be willing to suffer for Christ in sharing His Good News.

… Godly wisdom from Solomon on how believers find the way in life by trusting God.

… The Apostle Paul teaches truth about living and dying for Christ.  Either way is GOOD.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Alyson Kieda  AT THIS LINK        Tells of a missionary, named Elliott, who really took the Apostle Paul’s teaching in 2nd Timothy seriously where The Apostle Paul called for Timothy - and really all Christians - to be willing to suffer - and even die - to share the good news of Christ with others, even tho doing so was banned in the country where Elliott was serving the Lord.

The challenge and question which arises from today’s linked song and the ODB entry is … are we willing to be COMPLETELY committed to share Christ with others - even if that means suffering - or even dying - in that process.   I think I am; … but what about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … giving me Your enabling grace to serve Your call for me to be Your ambassador in this world.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again today, Lord. … for going forth - no turning back -  to share Your Good News with others. … Amen
