My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Monica La Rose … AT THIS LINK … Shared how Medieval Theologian, Thomas Aquinas, who joined a Monastic order, which was dedicated to prayer and knowing God through the study of God’s word; and just months before his death Aquinas wrote, “I can no longer write, for God has given me such glorious knowledge that all contained in my works are as straw.”
And the ODB Author today goes on to cite the experience of the Apostle Paul’s, writing of his experience with a so-called “thorn-in-the-flesh,” which opened his spiritual eyes to God’s glory and His grace, quoting Jesus in 2Cor.12:9; and allowing Paul to realize and acknowledge that he actually needed the painful “thorn” to be able to be humbled enough to see God’s ways and follow the Lord, … Who was leading him to glory. Personally, that’s where I want to go and I’ve discovered that I need to use God’s word as my Spirit-led “GPS,” all the way to Heaven. Are you with me today?
My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for leading me to follow You all the way to glory thru Your word, Lord.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all of us reading here, will willingly use Your word, Lord, as our “GPS,” leading us to follow Your ways today … and tomorrow, and all the way to Glory. … AMEN
