My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Arthur Jackson … AT THIS LINK … Tells of the wonder and awe of those who first booked a retreat at a new retreat center, built at great expense by someone who wanted weary missionaries and ministers to have a place to relax and restore themselves. “WOW” was the most common description of the retreat center.
And today’s ODB entry shows that God’s word reveals, over and over, that people were often in awe of what they heard from Jesus and saw as He even raised some from death to life. If we had been there to see and hear our Lord, Jesus, i know we would have been saying “WOW” to see and hear Him. The question is … are we in awe of Jesus now? As we read God’s word about Jesus now, are we astonished and worshipping Him as the Apostle John wrote about Him (see Rev 4:11 above)… as Jesus was revealed to be The Lamb of God? I sure think our Lord is a WOW! What about you?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … revealing your wonder and AWE in Your word.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again today, Lord. … for revealing Your wonder to us in Your word. … Amen
