My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, David McCasland, used a modern day picture to teach on God’’s omniscience. The OBD author wrote: In 2015 an international research company stated that there were 245 million surveillance cameras installed worldwide, and the number was growing by 15 percent every year. In addition, multiplied millions of people with smartphones capture daily images ranging from birthday parties to bank robberies. Whether we applaud the increased security or denounce the diminished privacy, we live in a global, cameras-everywhere society.
It’s becoming a reality that everywhere we go, surveillance cameras or cell phones capture where we are and what we’re doing. But mankind is in the “minor leagues” when it comes to watching over our every moment/movement; because as the scriptures above attest, God watches EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY. And as Daniel O’Donnell sings, “There Are No Secrets” from our omnipresent and omniscient God.
So, with no where to hide today, we, who call King Jesus “LORD,” might as well just surrender to the reality that our God is watching over us and directing us with His Spirit.
My Prayer Today: Heavenly Father, … Your Spirit watches over everything and everywhere I go today and all days. So, shine Your light brightly on my path, Lord, so that I find it easy to follow You. ... Amen
