My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Bill Crowder, used a personal story to illustrate that our God, Who is bigger than the universe, is way big enough to handle our problems. The ODB author wrote: As we drove through northern Michigan, Marlene exclaimed, “It’s unbelievable how big the world is!” She made her comment as we passed a sign marking the 45th parallel—the point halfway between the equator and the North Pole. We talked about how small we are and how vast our world is. Yet, compared to the size of the universe, our tiny planet is only a speck of dust.
If our world is great, and the universe is vastly greater, how big is the One who powerfully created it?
Our God is WAY BIG; … way bigger that anything we can see or encounter. As the photo exclaims: “God’s grace is immeasurable, His mercy inexhaustible, His peace inexpressible!” …
THAT’S BIG!!!
Yes, … the universe is vast, … way beyond our comprehension; but our God created it!! So, just how great is our God?!!
Yes, … our problems may seem very big, … sometimes even unsolvable; but our God has overcome anything in the world on the cross [see John 16:33]; and His power, … which is in us, … is far greater than anything our spiritual enemies can throw at us (see 1John 4:4).
So today, I will worship, … and serve, … the God Who will take me thru anything that I will encounter (see 1Cor. 10:13).
My Prayer Today: Abba Father, … King Jesus, … Precious Spirit … O Lord, You are are SO GREAT; … way bigger than anything I will deal with today! … Amen
