My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, David C McCasland, uses a personal observation about the 911 memorial to show how much our God cares for us, knowing each and every one of HIs children by name. … During a visit to the National September 11 Memorial in New York City, I quickly photographed one of the twin reflecting pools. Around these two pools, the names of the nearly 3,000 people who died in the World Trade Center attacks are etched into bronze panels. Later, while looking more closely at the photo, my eyes were drawn to the hand of a woman resting on a name [see photo]. Many people come to this place to touch a name and remember someone they loved.
Those who lost loved ones in the 911 tragedy certainly will never forget the names of their lost loved one; and thinking of this on this sad, but special day, we need to remember that our God knows each and every one of those who die in HIs Name, knowing the Savior Who died for each and everyone of us.
And that’s what is reflected in the linked song as well as all of the Scriptures above. And so, on this day when we all remember where we were when those twin towers came down, know that Our loving Abba Father, … our Good Shepherd … knows the names of each of us and is leading us homeward in His Name and for His eternal glory.
Oh, HALLELUJAH, … HE KNOWS MY NAME!!

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here feel Your presence today, knowing that you know us by name, and calling on YOU - by Your Name as our Good Shepherd - when we need You.
