Berry Patch Devotions in 2019 - Day 276
Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in a YouTube video of images and lyrics from the group The McRaes singing He Knows My Name ... poignantly singing of how God knows everything about His children … who we are … where we are … even our name.
==============
Highlight Verse[s]: Psalm 139:7-8 [NKJV] ...
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
… There is nowhere a child of God can go to escape His love.
==============
Highlight Passage [context]: Psalm 139:1-10 [NKJV] ... USE THIS LINK ...
… God’s omniscient love tracks us everywhere we are and everywhere we go for all our lives.
==============
Reference Passage : … Matthew 18:20b [NKJV] ...
20 … and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
… Jesus’ promise is to be with us (His children) always - EVERYWHERE.
Reference Passage : … Romans 11:33 [NKJV] ...
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
… God, thru Paul, reveals the knowledge of God, especially His love for us, to be unfathomable.
Reference Passage : … Hebrews 13:5 [NKJV] ...
5 … For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
… God, thru the author of Hebrews, promises never to leave us or forsake us.
My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, James Banks, uses a reference to tracking a shark with satellite technology to illustrate how much more powerful is God’s omniscient tracking of our hearts. … The ODB author wrote: Mary Lee is a sixteen-foot, 3,500-pound great white shark tagged by oceanographers off the east coast of the US in 2012. The transmitter attached to her dorsal fin would be tracked by satellite when she surfaced. [see photo] For the next five years Mary Lee’s movements were observed online by everyone from researchers to surfers, up and down the coast. She was tracked for nearly 40,000 miles until one day her signal stopped—probably because the battery on her transmitter expired.
Human knowledge and technology reach only so far. Those “following” Mary Lee lost track of her, but you and I can never evade God’s awareness throughout every moment of our lives.
Yes, as we meditate on today’s highlight passage from Psalm 139, human knowledge - even thru the vast array of technology we have at our disposal, cannot compare to God’s wondrous and omniscient ability to know us and track us with His love and amazing grace.
And as the Reference Scriptures above also attest, isn’t it wondrous and wonderful that God’s love will never leave us in this life … or the next? God has a tracker on me that is eternal; and all can do for that knowledge of truth is to PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!!!
And I do; … and pray that any reading here, who know Jesus as Lord/Savior, join me.
=============
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, ... for always knowing my presence and my heart and ALWAYS being with me.
=============
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me to with resounding praise for God’s omniscient and omnipresent love for us. … Amen
