My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Amy Peterson, AT THIS LINK writes of most people having trouble believing things they (we) haven’t experienced. In other words, we just need “to see it to believe it.” That’s why God’s plan of salvation (i.e,. His “GPS”) is so difficult from many to grasp.
A little over three decades ago, when I thought of myself as an “atheist,” the way Christians looked at Jesus, claiming that believing in Him was the ONLY way to heaven, just seemed outlandish to me. But thru a set of experiences (long story!), He became VERY REAL to me; and His word (i.e., the Bible) became my “GPS” (God’s Positioning System) for life.
But beyond that, His word was also another “GPS” (God’s Plan of Salvation); and now I pray that all reading here have discovered God’s AMAZING reality of giving us eternal life when we repent of our sinfulness and receive God’s AMAZING - SAVING - GRACE. That’s what Matt Redman sings about and God’s word professes with the links and scriptures above.
