Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 363
Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in a song and lyrics from the group Big Daddy Weave singing … The Lion and the Lamb … powerfully singing of how our Savior is the Lion of Judah, fighting our battles and the Lamb of God, slain and sacrificed, … once and for all time … to free us from our sin.
==============
Highlight Passage: … Revelation 5:5 [NLT] …
5 But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
… Jesus is The Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God, Who was slain to save God’s chosen from our sin when we surrender to His glorious victory in faith.

1 The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.

Reference Passage: … Revelation 22:3 [NLT] …
3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and His servants will worship Him..

My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks, AT THIS LINK … describes the two lion sculptures outside of the NYC library, fashioned in 1911 to honor the men whose donations provided for the library; … but the statues were renamed by the Mayor of NYC, who called them “Patience” and “Fortitude,” to stand for qualities he felt all citizens of NYC should emulate.
And we who have surrendered our lives to follow Christ, as our Lord and Savior, have two images we follow, … the “Lion of Judah,” our strong Messiah, Who came to save all God’s faithful and the “Lamb of God,” Who was sacrificed and shed His perfect blood to save us from our human born sin.
Oh, how I pray today that all who read with me here are the worshippers described in the Revelation passages above and who live our lives to worship our Lord and Savior, … King Jesus, … as the LION OF JUDAH and the LAMB OF GOD.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for standing strong as our Lion and loving us as God’s Lamb.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to worship You, today Lord, as the Lion of Judah and the one-and-only Lamb of God. … Amen
