My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Alyson Kieda -  AT THIS LINK  wrote about a situation involving four of the ODB author’s grandkids, squabbling over a miniature trains set, the disagreement getting to the point where the author, as their grandmother, had to intervene to bring peace and allow the kids to play together without discord.

And the author used a biblical illustration where the Apostle Paul felt he had to assert  himself to call on two of his dear sisters in Christ (see Highlight passage), Euodia and Syntyche, to seek peace … TOGETHER … in their relationship with Christ and avoid discord and disunity which led to discord in Christ’s Church.  And, of course, these illustrations should  prayerfully cause us all to ask if there is any discord in our lives which should be laid aside to bring peace into the Body of Christ.   What about it, my friend?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving us Your peace to guide and protect Your Body.

My Prayer Today:  Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... .Again, …  I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me seek seek Your peace, Lord, and to set aside our selfish wishes which bring discord and disunity to Your Body      … Amen
