My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Kristen Holmberg … AT THIS LINK -  … related the story of a friend named Patty, who came up with a clever way to get to know new friends.  She put packets of cookies on the end of her fishing line and dangled them to people drifting down the river, … literally “fishing for friends,” … just as Jesus called us to do as His disciples.   

And if my readers have taken in the linked song and the attached photo and meditated on the Scriptures shared above, perhaps you, as have I, been convicted to follow Jesus’ call to become “fishers of men (and women) we know,” maybe not like Patty in the ODB entry, but in a personal way … to reach out and share God’s “good news” with others in our ives.
