My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author, Tim Gustafson …  USE THS LNK  -     wrote about a young journalist in the 1980s who encountered some graffiti on the wall of a restroom in the Florida Keys; … words which were hateful against Cuban immigrants.   However, one sentence stood out, … from a Cuban ,,, who wrote of thanking some Americans who had welcomed him to his new land.   And the young journalist wrote, ”The very worst things about America were on that men’s-room wall, and the very best.”

And I’m sure any of us reading … and thinking here … get the point, … which is depicted in the attached photo and emphasized from God’s word which is shared above.  And that is … what we say to others or write down for others to read, has the power to create hate or healing.  Solomon wrote about it (see the Proverbs above);  and God’s authors proclaimed it (see New Testament scriptures above); … that what we say can help or hurt our interaction with others.

And I’m praying that I’m writing something here today to convey God’s love and grace to someone who might be reading my words today.   How about you?   What will you say today to lift someone up or possibly tear them down?  I’m praying for the former!

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for Your words which lead me to Your glory.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … for showing us the power of our words to help or to hurt others.  … Amen
