My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Jasmine Goh …  USE THIS LINK   … relates a story of a young man named, Elijah, ripping a ten-dollar bill accidentally while playing with friends and his dad offering to exchanged the torn bill with a new one.  Elijah asked why his dad would do that; and his father said that besides just doing it because Elijah was his son, the Dad said, “It’s also a reminder of what Jesus did for us. Because Jesus came and gave His life in exchange for ours, we can now live new lives.”

And that less, taught by the Dad in the ODB story is the lesson we learn from Jesus giving up His life on the cross so that those of us who believe in His finished work on the cross and are willing to surrender our lives to follow Him are the benefactors of eternal life and and a life where we become like Him as our Lord and Savior.   I’m in for that exchange (see photo).  How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for exchanging Your life for mine.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for dying on that cross so that we can live free from our sin and follow You … FOREVER.   … Amen
