My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Tim Gustafson  …  USE THIS LINK   relates a story about a young high-school wrestler, named Dave, who during a wrestling tournament, sustained a rib injury.   And to avoid his opponents targeting that side of his torso, he faked a leg injury on the other side, falsely limping to cause his opponent to focus on his leg instead of his rib.  And the ploy worked, allowing Dave to win his match.

But the ODB entry for today, focused on another David, this one in the Bible, relating the story of King David, giving praise to God Who protected David when the young anointed King “to be” was trying to escape the wrath of then King Saul. And the account of David’s deliverance and protection, along with the NT Scriptures shared above. show that God will protect and save ANYONE who comes to the Lord (see photo) seeking salvation from God’s grace.  I’ve certainly been one of those.  How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You … for saving me from myself.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for protecting and saving all those who come to You for Your saving grace.   …  Amen
