My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Anne Cetas, uses a personal story of someone going thru the pain of physical therapy to be able find the ultimate release of pain in their life. And the ODB author wrote: Darnell entered the physical therapist’s office knowing he would experience a lot of pain. The therapist stretched and bent his arm and held it in positions it hadn’t been in for months since his injury. After holding each uncomfortable position for a few seconds, she gently told him: “Okay, you can relax.” He said later, “I think I heard that at least fifty times in each therapy session: ‘Okay, you can relax.’ ” [see photo]
Thinking of those words, Darnell realized they could apply to the rest of his life as well. He could relax in God’s goodness and faithfulness instead of worrying.

When we’re going thru the pain involved in the trials and travails of life, can we trust God enough and His promises to always be there for us? Because God, in His word (see all the passages above) has certainly promised us to provide us with the ultimate “physical therapy” in the presence/power of His Holy Spirit when - and IF - we’re willing to come to Him and surrender our troubles to Him.

But the question ALWAYS is .. do we trust Him enough to do so?

My THANKFULNESS: … Oh Abba Father, … thank You, Lord, … for giving us Your Spirit as our constant life “therapist.”

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here can, and will, join me to surrender our troubles to the Holy Spirit today, as painful as it may be. … Amen
