My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Dave Branon, uses a delightful story of how prayer produced a love relationship for a lifetime. And the ODB author wrote: When Abby was a sophomore in high school, she and her mom heard a news story about a young man who’d been critically injured in a plane accident—an accident that took the lives of his father and stepmother. Although they didn’t know this person, Abby’s mom said, “We just need to pray for him and his family.”
And they did. ... Fast forward a few years, and one day Abby walked into a class at her university. A student offered her the seat next to him. That student was Austin Hatch, the plane crash victim Abby had prayed for. Soon they were dating, and in 2018 they were married. [see photo]

That’s certainly a heart-tugging story about how prayer - for even an unknown person - was Spirit-led to bring about a life-time love relationship. But I’m sure that all reading here know of fellow Christians in our sphere of influence or friendships who need our prayer … TODAY … maybe even right now!!

Well, the Apostle Paul, on several occasions, to several different Christian audiences (see Scriptures above), was compelled to exhort his fellow believers to pray for other fellow Christians and also for others, … even non-believers, … who were in need of God’s Spirit to lift them up.

So, … we all need to be in prayer, … continually, … as Paul exhorts us in 1Thess.5:17, … lifting up fellow Christians, … or really anyone, … whom the Holy Spirit puts on our hearts who might need prayer.

And who knows, … as with Austin and Abby Hatch, our prayers may lead to something wonderful; because God is certainly capable of doing wonderful things!!

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here can, and will, join me to pray, pray, pray for others … maybe right now!! … Amen
