Reference Passage: … 1Peter 2:2 [ESV] …

Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

… Peter exhorts fellow persecuted Christians to grow in Christlike strength by taking in God’s word like a babe trustingly takes in a mother’s milk.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Patricia Rayon… AT THIS LINK tells about Scottish elementary school children being exposed to care for the babies of some of the teachers on maternity leave in order to help the children develop a sense of empathy in caring for others.

Likewise Jesus, in three of the synoptic Gospels (see passages from Matthew, Mark, and Luke above), teaches that we must develop trusting faith like that of a child coming to Him (see photo) to be able to come to God and enter His kingdom.

And I follow the wisdom and teaching of Peter (see 1Peter 2:2) that I must trustingly take in God’s word, like a babe takes in the milk of a mother, to be able to grow in my relationship with my Lord.  So, you will find me here each morning seeking to grow in Christlikeness by taking in the milk of His word.  And I prayerfully invite any reader to trustingly come, like a Child of God, and grow with me to be more like our Lord.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your milk of truth to allow me to grow to be more like You, Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … and to grow with me, Lord, by coming to you like a child comes to his father.     .… Amen
