My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Amy Boucher Eye … AT THIS LINK … wrote how English preacher F. B. Meyer (1847–1929) used an illustration of a fertilized egg yolk to teach about God’s indwelling Spirit, … growing within each faithful Christian to become reshaped into the likeness of Christ. Meyer is quoted, saying, “From now on Christ is going to grow and increase and absorb into Himself everything else, and be formed in you.”
And the Apostle Paul often repeated the teaching of Christ (see the highlight passage), that when a believer is born-again by faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross and His resurrection, our God dwells, and is sealed, in all believers redeeming and reshaping us into the image of Christlikeness [see Pauline Scriptures above].
And I pray that all reading here join me in faithful surrender to these truths; and we all feel God’s Spirit dwelling in us, as sung in the linked song, to make us over to become more like Christ day-by-day-by-day.
