My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Marvin Williams … AT THIS LINK … wrote how Alexander Graham Bell’s words spoken over the first telephonic device shed light on how to communicate which would change the world of human communication forever.  

And as my fellow Christian readers take in the linked song and mediate on the Scriptures above, I hope we all realize that when God spoke His word of light into the darkness of this world (see highlight passage), He showed us the power of His word to dispel the darkness of this world. And that’s what Jesus commanded to His followers in His Sermon on the Mount (see Matt 5:14-16) by showing us how to shine God’s light of truth to dispel the darkness of sin in our lives by shedding His light into the darkness in this world. 

What can we - WHAT WILL WE - do today to shine God’s light of truth into this very dark - and ever darkening - world?                                        

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving us the light of Your truth to follow in our lives and to help lead others out of their darkness.  

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to seek to follow Your light of truth again today, Lord.   .… Amen
