My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Bill Crowder … AT THIS LINK … shows the anti-war modernist painting of the rage-filled bombings in the city of Guemica (see photo), just prior to WW2, … where the Spanish government allowed the Germans to use that innocent Spanish city for the Germans to do practice bomb runs, illustrating the foolishness of sinful anger in our world.
And if you will take the time to take in the angry rap singing of Lecrae in the linked song, you will feel the anger that the Scriptures above teach against, which we Christians should do all we can to avoid in our lives, … selfish anger against which no less than King David, Solomon, Jesus, and the Apostle Paul preached in the Scriptures above .
Oh how I’m praying that we, who follow Christ, can - AND WILL - be able to resist selfish anger in our lives today … and onward thru many tomorrows … to share God’s fruit of the Spirit with others (see Galatians 5:22-23).
My THANKFULNESS:... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … help me to set aside any selfish anger and to reflect Your fruit when I deal with others today.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … reaching out to share Your fruitfulness, Lord, … avoiding all selfish anger in dealing with others today. .… Amen
