My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Sheridan Voysey… AT THIS LINK … learned a concept called “wintering” from author Katherine May, who taught that there are seasons and times in our lives, perhaps to grieve the loss of a loved one, when God has us slow down to wait on His timing and His purposes and to allow us to grow closer to Him.
I don’t know about my fellow Christian readers; but too often I want to hurry God and take control of my circumstances, unwilling to wait for God, Whose timing is always perfect, as the Clark Family sings in the linked song. So, how about we all exercise a “wintering” time today,, waiting for God’s will and His ways to unfold; and like the Scriptures above teach us, … to never grow weary doing God’s good for His glory (see Gal 6:9-10. Let’s just wait on God to show us his way today.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for teaching me, thru Your word, to wait on You to show me Your way today.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to wait and seek out Your way, today, Lord. … AMEN
