My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Anne Cetas … AT THIS LINK …   tells of a young Christian, named Eric, who was mentored by a mature brother in Christ to use Eric’s gifts and talents to serve the Lord.  And over the years Eric grew in faith and Godly service, declaring …“My heart overflows to share the hope I’ve found in Jesus. What could be better than to serve Him?”

And about 35 years ago, God led me to an Elder in my church who recognized my immature walk of faith in Christ and chose to show me, as the Apostle Paul did for Timothy (see Highlight passage), that serving the Lord is the highlight calling of all born-again Christians.  So, as my readers take in the linked song and the reference scriptures above, I know all of us should be asking ourselves, where and how we cam we serve our Lord more faithfully and diligently Today … and tomorrow.  

 

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for Your calling, Lord, to faithfully serve You.
