My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author , Amy Boucher Pye - AT THIS LINK - relates the story of a young woman buying a book to help her Chinese husband to learn English; … but the only book she could find in English was the Bible. To honor his wife’s gift, the young husband, in reading the book, became a Christian, and Kristen, the wife, … trying to refute her husband’s new faith, … also surrendered her life to Christ after reading the Bible.
And all of this, as well as the Scriptures above, point me to the transforming power of God’s word to change the lives of those who take in God’s truth and believe in its power to transform our lives. I, too, testify to the power of God’s truth to change me from an angry atheist to a surrendered believer in God’s transforming grace. And … oh how I pray … that all who read with me here have experienced the transforming grace of God, thru His word, to lead us to His glory.
That’s why you find me here every morning. praying for God’s enlightening grace as I enter into my study of God’s truth, inviting any and all who read of my journaling here to let God’s word be our “GPS” as we follow God’s road to glory, led by His word.
My THANKFULNESS ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for showing me Your glory, Lord, as I use Your word as my “GPS” every day.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to follow Your perfect “GPS,” Lord, as You lead us to Your glory. Amen
