June 16, 2024 … Our Hope of Healing …

June 16, 2024 … Our Hope of Healing …

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in this song with lyrics from Don Moen singing There is None Like You … poignantly singing of our our hope of a heavenly healing which lies in our future in Christ and His promises of glory.

Highlight Passage: … John 5:8-9 [NLT] …

Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath,

Jesus singles out a crippled man at the pool of Bethesda and healed the man to walk away on his own on the Sabbath.

Reference Passage: … Isaiah 40:31 [NLT] …

31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

… God, thru Isaiah, promises new hope and healing for those who trust in Messiah.

Reference Passage: … Jeremiah 29:11 [NLT] …

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Reference Passage: … 1Corinthians 15:51-53 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK

… The Apostle Paul calls on fellow Christians have faith and hope that when we die our bodies will be transformed to heavenly bodies.

Reference Passage: … 2Corinthians 4:18 [NLT] …

18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

… Again the Apostle Paul promises that our hope is our eternal future with the Lord.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author, Kirsten Holmberg - AT THIS LINK -tells of the hope that many who are paralyzed with spinal cord injuries are gaining as neuro-science researchers experiment with mice who’ve been healed to walk again after spinal regeneration experiments.

But Jesus showed that He could heal many, like the crippled man at the pool of Bethesda, described in the Highlight passage. And many reference passages, shared above, along with the linked song by Don Moen, point to the hope we Christians have, promised by God’s word, of the eternal and heavenly healing we, who are in Christ, will experience when we are with Christ in glory. Do, I sense my readers offering up a resounding HALLELUJAH, … just as I’m feeling right now, … knowing that all my pain and anguish will be gone and I will be totally healed when I’m with our Lord in glory?

God ahead, … say it with me right now …. “HALLELUJAH!!!”

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for Your healing promises.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praying today that those who read with me here will join me in thankfulness for Your healing hope, Lord. … Amen
