My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Nancy Gavilanes … AT THIS LINK       … related a story of encountering a menacing and barking dog as she walked to get to her train to work one morning.  The dog was restrained on a leash; but the dog still barked loudly at the ODB author.  And the fearful encounter caused the author to recall the warning Peter gave to fellow Christians, especially those oppressed by the world and Satan, … and that is to stand firm in their (our) faith no matter what we face in life.      

As you, my fellow Christian readers, take in the linked song and the Scriptures provided above, are you, … like me, … thinking of how we are to resist Satan, who continually stalks and attacks us, as Peter wrote to fellow Christians in the Highlight passage?  I pray right now, … right here, that we all are standing firm in our faith and resisting the world, under Satan’s influence, knowing that our Lord has overcome the world.  

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for giving me Your enabling/empowering grace to stand firm in my faith.
